VS Summer Schedule Update
From 30MAR14, VS will be operating a new joint venture summer schedule, as they align our transatlantic services with Delta Air Lines in order to offer more flight choices for travelers on both sides of the Atlantic. Delta will also be joining them in their home at London Heathrow, Terminal 3 for London to New York-JFK, Boston and Seattle flights.
Their Newark to London route will now offer a morning service in addition to an earlier evening service. The morning service means passengers can be in central London for the start of the working day. The VS1 London to Newark service will move from a late afternoon departure to a morning departure so passengers can arrive in New Jersey same day.
This service is part of nine daily flights between New York and London Heathrow as previously announced, with an even spread of flights to and from JFK and two conveniently timed departures to and from Newark. It’s easy to remember that flights leave either on the hour or half hour from JFK.
Our Boston to Heathrow service has also been retimed and will depart two hours later. Together with Delta this offers customers more flexibility and improves connections for our BOM, JNB and CPT routes.
This exciting news will not only mean better connections, it will help to streamline the airport experience and they therefore hope to fully colocate all of their Heathrow services going forward.
